October 21, 2020 LLC International Certification Agency (IAC), a notified body in the System of International Certification (SIC), has become a member of the Environmental Impact Assessment Experts Association.
The corresponding confirmation letter was sent to the address of the head of the IAS Irina Volynets..
According to her, participation in the association will allow the International Certification Agency to improve the level of environmental and social responsibility among domestic businesses, to disseminate its experience in environmental impact assessment and comprehensively contribute to the sustainable development of the environment.
“Unfortunately, we live in an era of global warming and environmental disasters. In this difficult time, business simply cannot stay away from the problem of preserving the environment. Our experts will do their best to make Ukrainian entrepreneurs take care of the environment more carefully, ”said Iryna Volynets.
The «Experts on Environmental Impact Assessment» Association was created in 2018 with the aim of assessing, forming and enacting new legislative and regulatory acts on the practical implementation of a system of European principles and principles of environmental impact assessment in all sectors of the Ukrainian economy, which will significantly increase the effectiveness of foreign policy, the image of the state in the international arena and improve the quality of life of the population of Ukraine.
The mission of the association is to introduce among Ukrainian business the principles of the «Environmental and Social Policy» of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the criteria of the International Finance Corporation, the Aarhus Convention and the principles of «Equator», taking into account state, public and private interests.
