🔹 Stages of notification of certification bodies in the SIC System
1. Submitting an initial application online .
A representative of a certification body fills out an initial application on the website (link) intending to undergo the notification procedure and join the System. After reviewing the application, the organization is contacted by an SIC representative
2. Receiving the notification application form and document request
The certification body is provided with an application form and a list of required documents needed to assess compliance with the System’s requirements.
3. Assessment of materials and decision-making
A peer review of the submitted data is conducted. If positive, a decision is made to admit the body to the System; additional information may be requested if needed.
4. Signing the license agreement
If materials are approved, a license agreement is signed that defines the terms of notification, rights and obligations of the parties, as well as the rules for interaction with other participants of the System.
5. Issuing a notification certificate
After signing the agreement, the certification body receives a notification certificate confirming its right to conduct certification activities under the specified SIC standards.
6. Registration in the System and access to SIC-PRO
The notified body is entered into the official CB registry and gains access to the SIC-PRO platform for managing audits, certificates, and interacting with other participants.
7. Training and certification of personnel
Certification body staff undergo mandatory training and certification under the course «Auditing in the SIC System» on the SIC Academy platform.
8. Start of certification activities
The notified body can begin certification activities according to the SIC rules and procedures, using the internal database of auditors, document forms, and System marks.
9. Monitoring of activities and compliance control
SIC performs regular monitoring of the body’s activities via data analysis in SIC-PRO, audit observations, and consideration of client appeals or appeals from other bodies.
10. Renewal, expansion, or termination of notification
Depending on performance, notification can be renewed, expanded, suspended, or revoked according to the rules of the System.
