Sustainable success and sustainable development are two concepts that have slightly different meanings.
Sustainable success meets the requirements of ISO 9004:2018 “Quality management. The quality of the organization. Guidelines for achieving sustainable success”.
Sustainable success refers to achieving success in a particular business or project in order to ensure long-term profitability. This can be achieved by increasing sales, reducing costs or improving product quality.
In September 2015, within the framework of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, the UN Summit on Sustainable Development was held in New York and the adoption of the Post-2015 Development Agenda, at which new development guidelines were approved. The final document of the Summit “Transforming our world: the agenda in the field of sustainable development until 2030” approved 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
SIC.SDGs:2022 certification is a trend to promote sustainable development and care for the future
Supporting the concept of sustainable development as a “global model of the future of civilization”, the SIC technical committee has developed the standard SIC.SDGs:2022 “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. Requirements for organizations on achieving Sustainable Development Goals”. The standard contains specific requirements for organizations on achieving the SDGs. It should be noted that each organization must determine its priority goals from the 17 SDGs, taking into account the specifics of its activities, as well as national characteristics and whereabouts.
This standard is intended to popularize the concept of sustainable development and to promote the development and implementation of measures for organizations on achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
